Dave Lee has tackled the legendary Latin flavoured Euro-Disco cut 'Que Tal America’ by Two Man Sound, originally released back '78.. Dave subtly adds new breakdowns, live percussion and even some additional vocals to give his version extra pizzazz, whilst making the most of the insistent flowing groove that made this a surefire floor filler. Things get more echo-heavy on the ‘Xtra Special Dub’ whilst still letting the sharp jazzy musicianship breathe & shine through (there was never an instrumental version of the original 12”). An essential package for every Disco DJ's record box.

I've known of the artist "D.C. LaRue since hearing the track: "Do You Want the Real Thing" from the movie soundtrack "Thank God It's Friday" I bought the vinyl album (still have it) about one year after the movie came out; of which was circa 1978. But today, Sunday, August 18, 2024, during the earliest hours of the morning, I hear this track for the 1st time ever on Sirius XM Satellite Radio. After arriving home from a night out & parking my car in the driveway, I opened up theTube and locked this track in !!
